What’s New At Toonhole

Hey everyone, check out the new digs! We had to make some much needed upgrades under the hood and add a new coat of paint. Here’s what’s new at Toonhole!

New navigation and menu, an about page, viewable specific comic categories and artist archive & character archives, MEGA COMICS! and INFINITEEEE SCROLLL!!!!!

  • Easy to navigate menus (like the awesome comic archive listed by year all the way back to 2010!)
Check it out, look at how dumb we where from 2014?! I mean what where we even wearing!?
  • Search Comics by Specific Artist in the navigation menu above. Or simply by clicking the names just under the comic that says Toonhole Chris, Mike, Ryan, or John!
  • As well as searchable links for all comics featuring a our Toonhole characters. Here’s some links to Lou and Dallas and some really dumb animated GIF comic and animation!… but more to come!
  • We got a new About Page! Find links to each artist’s comics as well as social media. Also, read completely false facts about ourselves!
  • Easy to Read MEGA COMICS of Dallas T. Washington and Lou the Frog comics in one big easy to read post. Read entire 10-50 page comics easily in one consolidated mega post.
  • And of course… we now have INFINITE SCROLLLLLLLLL to keep your eyeballs fed with comics and animation on the front page and in the archives.

We hope you enjoy the new layout. Honestly, it had to be done from a technical perspective, but we hope you find navigating the site and reading comics a bit easier and can enjoy filling your eyeballs with more dumbass jokes.

Also, lend us a hand if any bugs pop up, shoot us a message about it at the CONTACT PAGE or simply leave a comment here!

Many thanks upon you wise and handsome readers!

Not at the moment, that’s something we where trying to figure out and going back and forth on; it’s certainly not out of the question. Most of this upgrade was for things underneath the visual experience. But those behind the scenes fixes will make future visual theme upgrades and fixes much easier and faster to update down the road.

But if no dark mode is a deal breaker that’s important to know. Please keep us posted on the general reading experience if anything jump out at you, Nicholas.

We will likely do a follow up post/poll in a few weeks to see how the front end stuff is going for all you guys. Right now it’s stuck to white background, but dark mode is not out of the question down the road.

Thanks for the honest feedback mammix. xoxo too *kiss and eggplant emoji.

Also, a lot of the important work was actually done in the back end. The front end stuff was a general nice to have and is now a work in progress (that we can fortunately now upgrade and tidy up on a more regular basis thanks to things we changed underneath)

Glad you’re diggin it overall, but let us know if anything jumps out at you and hope you enjoy the read.

Hope you guys know what you’re doing with that infinite scroll, and didn’t do anything like leave potentially important links in a now-impossible-to-reach footer.

Oh, and good work in retaining the comments.

I’ve seen a lot of webcomics sites ge refurbished over the years and one of the most common casualties is the audience feedback.

Naw nothing in the footer. Everything of value is up top easy to reach and includes a scroll to top button in case you got in too deep… nothing to see behind that shady back door…..*sweats profusely

Everything is still being tweaked as we go, but let us know if anything jumps out at you in the reading experience.

This is great! I mean I prefer the white bg personally, but both dark and light theme are fantastic!
