Will You

Remember I once mentioned that some of the women John draws look like someone I know.

Well, she looks like her.
He, on the other hand, doesn’t look like her other half.

It’s a small world, so it’s possible Señor Martinez also knows this same girl & is (or wants to be) putting his burrito in her enchilada.

I never found geometric hips to be that attractive, myself. But I’m certainly not one to kink-shame.

The world isn’t that small.

But it does remind me of a sketch from an old radio series, where a space explorer encounters aliens and they ask if he knows some guy who they once met from Earth, and can’t believe he doesn’t know him, seeing as they’re both from Earth.

Makes sense, though.

If the guy the aliens talked about reported his encounter, he would’ve had a lot of international exposure, especially a few decades ago. It could’ve even led to the creation of the space program that the explorer was in at that time.

So there is quite a good chance the explorer knew who the aliens were talking about, even if he didn’t meet the guy personally.

Remembering it more, now.

Dave Hollins is the explorer who lands on “The Planet You Shouldn’t Really Land On” (the sketch title). The other Earthman was called Jan Vogels. The alien cannot believe Hollins doesn’t know “Jan Vogels. He’s from Earth. Jan Vogels!” before apologising for its rudeness and suggests they participate in the traditional alien greeting and swap heads for an hour. After lopping off Hollins’ head kills him, the alien comments, “Strange. The same thing happened to Jan Vogels.”

So, unlikely that Jan Vogels reported his encounter with these aliens.

“I Will.. Call you an Uber/Lyft/Taxi.”

Or at my nearest airport’s case. The train ticket that connects you to the rest of the city for less.

I used an Orange Wednesday once. Unfortunately, the only participating cinema within feasible travelling distance on a wednesday showed shit films on wednesdays. I watched a shit film for half price. It was shit. I didn’t participate in Orange wednesdays after that.

Actually, they evolved into Meerkat Movies.

Probably a better implementation of a similar premise. Don’t know. Not that bothered.
