Not to get technical, but… (this is where I get technical, obviously)
1. Squares are a specific type of rectangle, with an aspect ratio of 1:1.
2. Toilet paper has a definite thickness, so they wouldn’t be rectangles, but cuboids, anyway.
3. There is no ISO standard for toilet paper sheets dimensions, so every manufacturer does their own thing.
4. Sometimes, they sacrifice thickness and/or ply for cost, so you need to use two sheets folded together to get the desired effect.

Always nice to find more toilet paper comics; they always seem to be worth a laugh. Several entries for “TP” on this page are also amusing, though the first, a redone stanza of Edgar Allan Poe “The Raven”, is probably my favorite.
